Where Horses help Humans to find their way.
At the heart of our work lies a simple but powerful belief: healing doesn’t always come from talking—it comes from being heard, even in silence.
My name is Amy Sales, and I founded EquiBound because I’ve witnessed the quiet, transformative power of horses—both personally and professionally.
Horses have always been my refuge. Growing up, they offered me something I didn’t find easily elsewhere: a sense of calm, grounding, and unconditional acceptance. With them, I could breathe. I could just be. That connection stayed with me, becoming a guiding thread through my life and career.
But it was the journey with my daughter that brought everything into focus.
The classroom felt overwhelming; the world felt too loud, too fast, and too demanding. No matter what strategies or interventions we tried, something was always missing. That “something” turned out to be horses.
The stable became her sanctuary. In the presence of these deeply intuitive animals, she finally felt safe. Through caring for them, she learned responsibility. Through building trust with them, she gained confidence. Horses gave her not just comfort—but a sense of purpose. They didn’t demand anything from her. They just met her where she was, and in that space, she flourished.
Seeing her transformation—watching her grow into someone who could stand tall and face the world—was my turning point. I knew I wanted to bring that same experience to others who might be quietly struggling, just like she was.
That’s how EquiBound was born.
With the help of some very special friends, I have been given the opportunity to open my world to others and support them to Thrive in Nature.
This isn’t just a business. It’s a calling—born from love, lived experience, and a deep belief in the power of healing partnerships between humans and horses.
